advise starcom

I have a starcom digital and just got the remote control for it. The instructions suggest mounting on the tank, but I really don't fancy this.

Has anyone made up a plate/panel or other way of mounting the remote some where up front?
I have a r1200gs.
Any product suggestions or photos would be great.

I have placed the remote volume control up near the speedo. (on the Touratech speedo surround), I found that this was the only function needed on a day to day trip. Depending whether we used earplugs or not.
