I am looking for a one piece suit Aerostitch Roadcrafter style... I am 6'6" and "only" 14.5 stone ish... Their sizing tool makes tall people like me more like retired quarterbacks after a few too many burgers and I am wondering who of the esteemed UKGSer clan has had a similar experience...

I have also seen the Olympia version, BMW Coverall thing, something by Fieldsheers and a couple of others but most people seem to love their Roadcrafter suits...

I have had tons of gear over the years and have lived with 2piece textile gear for 15 years or so know their good and bad points... I also use an over-suit in winter when its really crappy or on long runs and it's really good as it keeps the rain and draughts out...

Feedback would be appreciated about any of the above especially from lanky geezers like me...

I am smaller version of you (6'2" and 13 stone) and wear a 42L one piece Roadcrafter suit most of the year, and a 44L two piece when need extra layers underneath in the depths of winter. Both are about 10 years old, neither are very waterproof but have done well over 100k in them and would only replace with another Aerostich suit (if I can ever afford one new!).

My Roadcrafter suit is 46L and I am 6'1 / 13 st. I use it all year so this enables me to wear many layers with it. It is not a warm suit in cold weather and in very serious rain the wet crotch syndrome is real... The R3 is meant to be totally waterproof as is the Darien 2 piece. I wouldn't say I love it but I keep using it. I hope this helps

Thanks for the replies... I think..? Areostitch can do "specials" but really want to see if anyone has found one off the peg that fits v tall people... I have some 5 ish year old Streetguard trousers which are something like 110 size and even though they are a bit big on me, are the 1st pair I have had that actually fit the length of my leg and don't end up as surfer shorts when riding...

Anyone any update on the Olympia stuff...?
