two weeks before we get up at silly *hour, and no sign of anything from AH.

Waking our :robelderly (Retired/OAPs):rob neighbours in our Cul-De-Sac with my GSA rumbling away and the curtains twitching during the small hours won't go down well. :augie

* Note I would do what ever it takes for our men and women in the services :bow

Here here. :thumb2

Amen. :)

Still have not got anything thru the post yet, still got my confirmation email, so if I do not received anything I'll use that.

Can someone refresh my memory please, the Oakdene Cafe, that is the one with the pot-holes / gravel out front, is that right, do not want to turn up to the wrong place.

thanks
dxtans

Hope the link works...if not, just type in Oakdene Cafe into google maps, and hey presto....the give away will be the bikes in the car park @ daft o'clock!! :D

What time shall we rendezvous at Malmesbury Service Station?

I would say 08:00.
Can I ask that
•RD. (Richard)
•Friend of RD (Nigel)
•Nigel's brother (Andy)
•Dvcress (Dave)
sort meeting up arrangements between themselves if required.

what time do you think lunch will be? if last year is to go by add 4 hours

The pub is less than 25 mins away from Wootton B.
I am hoping ... seeing as we are turning up as a group (and we should have all booked the same time slot although I appreciate some got different slots) then we all go off together. Hopefully we keep reasonably together and don't spend too much time waiting at the Hilton Hotel car park for stragglers.

Problem is, if I am the only one with the sat nav route ('cos nobody else has asked for a copy, see previous updates) then things are going to get tricky.
If somebody now requires a copy in Garmin then somebody will have to check my conversion as it never seems to do it correctly.
I am really busy at mo so if anybody needs this then shout now.
If you have a TomTom then I can bluetooth on the day.
See links below for route.

NOTE - I can't seem to get all of the return route to load up but we will be stopping at Newlands Corner nr Guildford before returning to the Oakdene.

Joe,

FYI - Nigel, Andy and I have arranged to meet in Chichester at a fuel station on the A27.

If Les manages to get a ticket and wants to meet en-route around Portsmouth that's ok.
We could meet Dave but don't know where his journey begins and if he passes our route. We're happy to meet Dave anywhere on our route (A27, M27, M3, A34 and M4).

:blast. Oops, sorry I've just noticed that I made a typo mistake - Our meet is at the Membury Service Station on the M4 not Malmesbury as I mentioned previously which is near Hullavington Airfield. :blush

Good job you're leading Joe, if it were me, we would end up going the Long Way Around :augie

Nigel, Andy and I will return via your route but may continue on the A339 through Alton, where we have the choice of a few routes home on some great biking roads or continue to Newlands Corner and join you all for a cuppa and then head south just depends on the time and consensus of opinion.

Joe, can I have a copy of the route in Garmin Zumo 550 format, think its gpi.
POIs must be gpx or csv I think but if someone with Garmin techy knowledge could help it would be greatly appreciated. :thumb2

Joe, you have a PM.

Cheers fella,

Richard.

I was joking when I asked about lunch, but it can be a long wait so it's a good idea to take drinks and some snacks.

You could buy tea last year if you wanted to walk the lenth of the runway at I was told £1.50 a cup.

Don't fancy walking the length of the runway either.

I may take a Thermos flask and a few snacks too. :thumb
