I just remembered

I have a pair of British army issue waterproof trousers in the garage. That's me sorted then:thumb2 Looking forward to this run now!

Why not just give the £17 to Afghan Heroes ?

Nicely done Mike :thumb2

Have borrowed my mates t-shirt (he was in the Prince of Wales Regiment), so that's the uniform bit sorted - also got a few extra quid from a few folk I told about the rideout...all in a good cause :D

Until the morrow chaps....:clap

Just wondering what time it is coming to a close tomorrow? Wife had major surgery Tuesday, came home yesterday and is doing well but not sure how much of that is a brave front not wanting to be "any bother!" so don't want yo leave her too long...

Well it was nice seeing you all, not that I spoke to anyone, had 2cups of tea and a coffee... And bailed out on the ride down to Ramsgate st the M20 I think it was... The group riding discipline was really bad with the marshals encouraging you to bunch up...WTF! So I got out as I had a bad feeling..hope the rest of the day went well..

Should found some of us I was the good looking one:)

it was a nice morning out, nice to see some old and new faces.

Whens the next one ?

The two guys in the matching Beemer suits... They were with you...weren't they? Don't get me wrong I like the gear...and more importantly the bikes... Anyway.. Did the ride down go without incident? I was very uncomfortable riding in that group hence why I peeled off and went home... Heard a lot of people saying that they had never been on a group ride before we set off.. And was a little disappointed that when the bloke stood up and announced we were going to leave and said all the thank you's that no simple rules were mentioned.. Found it difficult maintaining a staggered formation with people (non-marshalls) over taking... I have done a bit of group riding and was a little unnevered by it.. But a good turnout for a good cause...still wearing the wrist band as tap away...
