Africa Twin farkles list

Then no....Pity.

That said there are other choices for more aggressive tyres that are available in 21" and 18"
The motoz tractionator that Skygod runs on his 1190R being the one such tyre.

I'd be interested to hear a place to get a set of those. I'm not looking to change right now, but cant see any UK stock. I suppose the TKC 80's are another dual purpose option.

. It's great up to an indicated 70 ( approx 64 in reality).

Yes what is it with the AT electronic speedo its the worst Ive seen at a true road speed of 30mph its reading 33 mph whilst at 70ph its 76 mph and just gets worse.I could understand somewhat if it were mechanical but its way off the mark.

If you contact Gaz at Adventure bike Warehouse I'm sure he'd ship some to you.

The problem with the TKC 80 is the rate it chews through rears, it's a quick wearing tyre. IMHO it was okay for the R1150gs etc where there were limited choices for offroad tyres with some road manners. With the Rim sizes the AT runs there are much better choices I would say.

Incidentally, I found the AW to be much better off road than the TKC80, so I wouldnt recommend it.

I'd tend to go for a Mitas over the TKC80.

I thought I saw that the pirelli Scorpion Rally str tyres were available in AT size, or did I dream that....?

Can anyone advise the easiest option and routing for a battery lead (optimate)

Thx D

Cheers chaps, now sorted.

I removed the negative from the battery box and slid the battery out to get to the positive, the optimate lead was long enough to enable it to be routed under the riders seat.

Ordered Direct, Took 3 Days to arrive from Japan! The value of the package was marked down to $20 I dont think i opted for the express delivery, £95 in total:thumby:

few more bits added. Full Termi still isn't loud enough for me..... may have to go the SC Project route (if it works with Rugged Roads crash bars)

I'm finding out the hard way that it doesn't, even though I was told by rugged roads that it does!!! 😣

So I'm digging a bit of a hole in for myself here, I fitted the SC Project system first so was happily using that, and really enjoying it.. Had to remove the exhaust system to fit the crash bars and the install was going great until I went to replace the exhaust.. That's when it starts going to shit: after loads of pushing and pulling I EVENTUALLY
managed to get the exhaust on, but unfortunately I had to leave it clashing with the crash bars, then when I went to re-fit the skid plate (it has to be removed to fit the crash bars) it now clashes with the headers, due to them being in a different position than previous, so had to grind some of that away!.. I probably should have removed the crash bars straight away and returned them, but it took me a good few hours to get get to this stage and I ran out of time and needed the bike in one piece to ride home (did the work away from home).. Now both the exhaust and crash bars are in a used condition so can't really return them, and will possibly have to buy another bash plate in the future if I decide to give the bike back at the end of the 3 year pcp..

Damn that's a shame, mine whilst close do clear the standard exhaust so it must be the way they designed the header pipe

Yeah, you can see the angle on the header pipe should be a bit different, a bit less bend required.. I'm not really happy with it touching so might have to modify the bars.. Ball ache!

I had to champher a small notch into the alloy stalk of my GSG crash bungs to give a little bit of clearance for my Arrow headers. I suppose manufacturers can't possibly take all the aftermarket pipes into consideration when designing their wares, they just need to get the fitting right to suit the oe pipes.

Thats the reason I didn't get the SC project exhaust. Looks fantastic, but I wanted some crash protection (and passenger footpegs)
