Africa Twin is coming

The front forks look very kicked out in the spy photos, kinda traily/cruiser maybe? :D

Well I put my deposit/order down on the day it was announced, and have been told to expect delivery beginning of December (this year :D ).

I expect Honda will debut it at EICMA, then deliver first batch to EU dealers in December, with NA dealers receiving their initial deliveries at the beginning of Q2 2016 :nenau

I'd say your dealer is just having a guess regards December. My dealer says he just does not know when to expect it, bar Honda saying it will be released in the UK in 2015. My name is on the first one coming to NI and if it isn't going to appear until December, I'll just let them hang on to it to the new year and register it in 2016.

not markedly different, is it.
Certainly XTZ has better exhaust placement.

AT is just an updated Transalp, by the looks of it.

To me the spy shot look suspiciously transalp like, maybe a donkey to test the engine :nenau or suspension components, certainly looks nothing like the muddy item in the pic or at the show.
It has a hell of a rep to live up to and with all the competition and options currently available they really have got there work cut out coming to the table this late, I think since the NC's were launched they have had their thumb up their arse, I mean a revamped Crossrunner and similar VFR not very exceptional.

Got some catching up to do especially with Yamaha's new models selling so well

Colours available at launch are.......

Black (boring)

Red/white/blue (HRC colours, but not branded as such)

Red/white/black (current Rally colours scheme as per teaser pics)

Looking at the length of the rear swinging arm I'm predicting that Honda will have made it very capable off-road (for a big bike)

In the right hands I expect will be seeing some amazing stuff ridden on it.

For the average Joe though will it do much more than they could or would do on a GS800

Good job people buy bikes on emotions rather than logic, Im hoping it has tubeless tires.

I can just imagine the excitement in your voice......:D

Buy a F800GS instead :)

Honda are doing nothing new (DCT box excepted) to what you can buy today

The new AT doesn't look too revolutionary to me, so why all the hype

I was in a Honda main dealer on Friday & the whole Honda range is very, very dull & moreover bland

Nothing sets the pulse racing to say 'buy me'

If you think the new AT will be the saviour to the present Honda range & will be a desirable bike over what other bikes are available to buy this week, I think you may well be underwhelmed

The new AT ain't nowt new to my eyes

My local Honda dealer says he'll be contacting me in early January when they have the demonstator in. He's no idea of the price yet.

Unfortunately that's how I felt about the BMW range So I bought a new Honda as a donkey bike. It serves it's purpose well but is never going to get the pulse racing.

i think i'll reserve judgement until i can see it.

then i won't buy one.
