Why all the vitriol 
What a load of old tosh...
No pics, what apart from the ensless string of videos slowly dribbled out by Honda over the last year or so, all the specs have been released - what secrecy is left....? Well,apart from price & availability of those brave enough to stick their neck out and put money down!
It's just another mass produced bike, I'm sure it will be good and it is good looking IMHO but lets face it, there is nothing special or ground breaking about it as first rumoured.
I find that when a manufacturer brings out a really special motorcycle it doesn't take anytime at all for demand to exceed supply. If Honda truly believes this one to be so special then why are they choosing to spend so much time and energy (and money) promoting the heck out of it when they won't be able to keep up?

No Idea just like the bike im afraid
Price between £9k and £24K and any guess in-between is a good one LOL
Deposit paid 6 weeks ago haven't heard a thing from the dealer !!
Who has ordered a DCT?
Went out with a couple of guys both with 1200 Tenere yesterday for a really pleasant 340 miles ride around mid & south wales . Me on my 1200 Crosstourer.
Both guys have ordered Africa Twins one has owned his Super Ten for 3 yrs one for about 2 weeks (bought it as a stop gap before the AT arrives) and they both really like their Super Ten ( the stop gap chap has had one before) but were keen to try out the DCT on my C Tourer. I expected them both to pooh pooh it after only a brief ride but it was really interesting hearing them over the intercoms going on and on about how good the DCT is . One asked for a second ride shortly after and both said they really would want the DCT now having ridden it.
Its amazing how many people say "so its like a big scooter then ?" ,as one fella did ,until they ride it, he was sold after 10 mins.
I got to ride both of their Tens and instantly thought they were great , much more like my 12GS / or old 1150. Lower , lighter, sit in rather than perched on top and lazier wiht a nice bark from the Remus. I really thought oh I like this more than the Honda......until I got back on the Honda what an engine & gearbox! I will look forward to trying an AT next year, maybe buy a 2nd hand one in two years perhaps, still lovin the CT. 2k miles in 2 months.

I agree with you on the engine and gearbox on the CT Rushy. For me it was a perfect union - the V4 seemed a perfect match and I loved the seemless changes. What frustrated me and ultimately led me to sell it was the front end which I could never get on with but the DCT is a great asset to the bike.

I've loved the DCT on both bikes I've ridden with it....the CT and NC700X. It is a fabulous system, no doubt and those who poo poo it probably have never ridden one to feel for themselves just how good it is. Which then begs the question....why am I preferring to plump for the manual version ?
Well, I fear that I would maybe get bored of it and regret not buying the Manual. I know I won't get tired of a manual 'box and in fact, my last trip to Scotland earlier this month showed me how much pleasure I get from riding a tight twisty road, going up and down through the gears and getting it just right.
Plus I'm trying to go less tech these days.

Been hanging around on the Crosstourer forum a bit and it seems that most guys who consider buying/ leasing their next Crosstourer would go for the DCT again and quite a few who didn't first time would next time. Yet most of the used ones available are manual which suggest they sell far fewer DCT versions.
I bought mine without a test ride because I liked the look of the bike and fancied a change plus Justin the Tosser I bought it off was local and had clearly looked after the bike very well. I had know idea what the DCT would be like.
To this potential AT owners I'd say unless you were tackling a lot of off road I'd try the DCT if you can and not necessarily on something smaller and with less shove like the NC .

Wasn't there a DCT VFR on eBay recently with 80k+ trouble free miles ?

Good call, I started off with a manual CT, but soon switched to the DCT version. I've since bought an S10 and initially thought that I'd sell the DCT afterwards, but I really would miss that engine/gearbox, so, for the moment will keep both and perhaps the AT DCT when the 2nd hand ones are around.
Naaaaah , that's the nickname they applied to the Crossrunner which came out first
