Africa Twin is HERE !!!

He's taking the piss as usual chum. :thumb

The Arrow IMO does look better, not concerned about cost. Rugged Roads reckons it needs dyno'd to get the best out of the Arrow.
looking at the middle photo, it would appear that one of the downpipes is getting much hotter than the other? is this a problem or a feature of the pipe runs? as I thought the gas flow should be the same through both cylinders for best performance?

Now if We where talking an 1150 Y piece standard can I would agree with you but the look of the AT IMO with a full Termi is very special. Well that and a fat sump guard and rally seat

We're getting away from my original post but hey :)
Funny, IMHO the Termi system reminds me of the old Aprillia Moto 6.5 and that's not something I'd want to spend about 1k on for the sake of a couple of kg & virtually no performance gain.

As ever, each to their own ;)

Spot on - it's been nagging at the back of my mind, defo Aprilla Moto like :)

I am a little skeptical about after market exhausts performance claims, I am interested, do you know what you get ? I have been looking at an Akra, but more for aesthetics and sound than any possible power gain. On an aside, does your insurance coy know yet ??

Mike

Sorry Mike I dont know what power increase it makes it just feels more free revving than it did with the Std system on and it sounds so much better

Hi Adventure Boy,

Tks for your reply, I concur that freer revving may well be experienced due to less restrictive system.
I'm Akra orientated after my joy of owning overland KTMs, so I'll probably stay, however not seen any Ti headers yet, probably need a lottery win to acquire the lot !

I've only managed 360 miles so far, no corrosion on the spokes as yet but my set button is fecked, the dealer has a replacement for me that will be fitted at the first service....

I squirted silicone spray (not WD40) into my SET button. No more sticking. I didn't have my switch replaced at the first service as my dealer would like to have the heated grips resolution from Honda first. I'm up to 1400 miles now after a few long days in the saddle. The bike seems to be getting better and better.

I'm still on my first engine too.....:thumb

Local H dealer says latest Glasses lists as best selling bike so far this year, 650 units sold  Jul/Aug now for a new one.

Wonder how that compairs with the GS figures just out of interest ?

I'm sure it'll be short-lived...new bike on the market and all that, plus it'd give Enginerd a heart attack if his beloved GS wasn't back at the top of the sales figures before long. Makes me wonder tho', so many people say they wouldn't buy a first year run of a new machine so that they can benafit from getting all the teething problems sorted. If we all took that attitude, manufacturers wouldn't be in business for too long.

just under 5k ridden in all weathers left outside of work all day but garaged at night,

that's what we like to hear, enough miles being piled on to dent the resale value by an owner who keeps his bikes in good nick and likes to change. That all adds up to well run in and farkeld up AT for sale, in ????

hondas

Tried the AF and new NC750X yesterday, both dct's well impressed with the AF goes well ,feels right and dct was spoton , if I didn't have the tracer I would be ordering. Nc was never going to light a fire but I'll be ordering one next week to replace my big scoot. Bloody centre stand is an extra. Dealer also said latest earth quake in Japan has done lots of damage to Honda and the already long lead for bikes will extend further.

My mates AT has 375 miles on the Clocks, first time it got wet yesterday and already the spokes are showing corrosion I rode it to collect my own bike after being serviced and he don't do pillions so I opted to ride and he be pillion, I was impressed with the DCT, it makes a great bike to carry a pillion with no headbutt, but the rear shock Deffo needs upgrading if you regular take a pillion .
