Africa Twin is HERE !!!

We are all different but I can live with mates in the twisties on sportsbikes (albeit I only have 90 bhp but corner speed is what I am referring to) so don't give up on it quite yet.

But to be fair, they can't ride for sh*t.........;)

What a transformation the AT 2s have made, :D done a 1,000 smiles this week since having them fitted, turned me into a hooligan ;) Don't think these will last 6,000 smiles like the Dunlops, :roll eyes: but who cares

It was Clemmo on his ZX 12R so i suppose i am overegging it a bit, i couldn't pass the PS and i had to let him go on the straights if behind him (his exhaust hurts my ears if i stay too close, its not a noise thing but more a vibration through my ear plugs and into my head)

you should have been there, next time maybe if your not busy. (or i might come with you - one day)

Well thanks to Davy I'm going to keep the African, the ride on his bike was like night and day handling wise compared to mine and I'm getting the conti's fitted on Monday
Thanks again guys and especially Davy F for the chance to ride yours I owe you a pint, also let me know if you selling one of your screens as I will definitely be interested but let me know soon before I click 'buy it now' 🍻

No problem chum.

It was eye opening for me today to ride a stock bike, both in handling and power differences. I was inwardly dismissive of those who said that the AT was slow to turn, tram-lined and felt vague in feedback. Twice I felt that Petes bike was going to go out from under me in both left and right corners. It just shows the difference there is to be had by putting really good tyres on. As I changed the tyres right away from new, I'm glad I went with my gut instinct to have the Conti TA2's fitted after my demo ride back in February.

Also, the way my bike leapt ahead with Pete on board as we both accelerated through the twists and turns of the chosen route....I had to really open the taps to make back the ground I lost. It's not like Petes bike felt slow, just mine seemed much sharper and gapped me so easily. At least some of that will disappear once Pete fits his nice new Remus can. Riding mine back home made me appreciate just what a difference the Arrow and Hilltop re-map has made and the money spent on it has been well worth the outlay.

Exactly what Davy said
Remus end can now fitted and it sounds awesome, still not as sharp or instant as Davy's but then his has the full system and the re-map, hopefully get all that done further down the line but for the mean time im more than happy with it

Pleased you were converted Pistol, I've not been to Hilltop, not sure whether they can do any thing with the DCT, but I'm very happy with the std engine, those TA 2s I put on mine were recommended by Davy a while ago, what a difference :D

You can get the DCT re-mapped by Geoff, but no dyno run is possible I believe. Arsey had his done, so he could give better info..

Yup,
Geoff did my DCT.No dyno run but he 'guestimated' the settings and then said we would get it perfect by me taking it for a few runs around the block-it was spot on first time !!
But with the Arrow headers it was running so lean initially that the sensors couldn't pick up a fuel reading so he had to install a different map just to get it off the bottom scale.

Makes a huge difference-bike was a revelation on my recent European trip.
