Africa Twin is HERE !!!

Ktm 990 Adv spokes corroded terrible, as I remember, when I bought mine the wheels had been rebuilt with stainless spokes.

I finally got my refund for the crap heated grips.
Now just the spokes.
Has anybody got anything sorted yet with Honda regarding a upgrade

Discs swopped over, new tyres and all good to go. :)

Hi Rodooo,

My dealer has submitted images of my rear spokes to HONDA UK, no reply as yet, interestingly the front spokes are OK !! If HONDA do not replace with ss then I will be asking for a credit to send wheel(s) away for ss spokes and nipples, as I did with KTM.

When Honda rang up too say cheque was in the post I asked the question again regarding spokes.
Was told again they will just keep changing wheels like for like and at this moment there is no upgrade and not likely too be for some time if at all. So keep fitting new wheels while bike under warranty.
Sounds stupid to me but if they want too ill let them rip away.
It's my front wheel that's bad. Rear ok.
It's like the pad material is eating into spokes then rusting.

Maybe if manufacturers cut back on the wizardry and concentrated on turning products out with some integrity that might be better.

Most modern bikes seem to be very expensive cheap shit from what I can see.

Is it that they're made from yesterday's old washing machines or what ?

I think your right.
I know in the car world older stuff is miles better than new stuff

It's called controlling costs because we don't want to pay more and they have to make a profit to survive.

Been in the car game for years.
Some change from then to now.
Stuff isn't made too last.
Cheap recycled tin etc
Newer u would think would be progress but in plenty situations it's going backwards
But everything is just built down to a price.
Which is what people want

really? old stuff better than new? I still remember when we expected every car in the fleet to need a gearbox every year and weren't surprised to change a couple of engines in the 2nd year! let alone the rot in the bodywork!

Some more AT bling from Jonathan @ Rugged Roads. :aidan
