You don't quite have the accent that I expected :)

Well then, I'm often accused/complimented on not being a fan of high tech motorcycles but .............

..... if you've ordered an AT without the DCT gearbox, ring your dealer and change your fecking order NOW!!

Again, GET THE DCT!!! :shout

Has your account been hacked  next thing we know you will be complementing Giles on his photography skills :D

Firstly, I'm not going to buy an AT DCT or otherwise, that should answer the second point :D

But if you had 11k burning a hole in your pocket , I bet you would be tempted !!

I think you are being a bit mean not to include the pictures taken by Giles of your trip out :rob

See Tim I told you the DCT was good in the other Africa Twin thread a. You might recall I happened to do a run out with two guys I've never ridden with before who both had Super Tens and both wanted to try my DCT Crossourer as they had orders in for the manual AT. One immediately changed his order to DCT and the other has bought a DCT equipped Crosstourer.

I never ride in D mode, as you say it changes up way too early for economy, especially with the grunt of the V4 . Like you suggested I mostly ride in Sport mode with the occasionally shift down when approaching a corner or when an impending overtake is on. On a fun road when you are pressing on manual is my preference .

The ability to kick back and relax when you want to is fantastic and although sometimes I miss the "satisfaction" of a perfect manual change there are other pleasures derived from the DCT. Like powering hard out of a long , long corner and being able to totally focus on your line whilst the bike continues to upshift all on its own with almost relentless drive and without unsettling the bike or its rider/passenger. It's the work of the devil.:thumb2
