Aftermarket Exhausts

That looks good. Will it fit with the Akra headers? Any heat issues with carbon, as Crotchrocket managed to cook his?!:D

Ive done about 2000 miles since fitting my carbon Yoshi, no issues at all.
 
Have an Arrow Ti jobby on my GS LC. Very happy with it.
 
I need to see some ti headers so please someone post some pics.

I like the look of the MIVV and presumably the headers, a question though do the sensor thingies in the standard headers fit the after market headers?

I was extremely nervous about buying it as I strongly believe that you get what you pay for and generally pay top dollar, but this Yoshimura pipe is so good and considerably cheaper than the Akrapovic.
 
I'm looking for akro headers, so you could sell me yours and get the right yoshi set up... Just a thought.... ������

They only just arrived yesterday, so will be sat in their box in the corner of the garage, ready for September.:D

Skid06 has some, they look awesome. I've had SS on my last couple of bikes, so went with Ti for a change. Immediately noticeable is how much lighter they are. Hopefully there aren't any pieces missing, as I haven't opened the box yet!:P

I was very disappointed with the Akro system. The headers were a terrible fit and the end pipe made an odd noise on the over run. Got rid of both with Keihan headers and Mivv end pipe, both much better quality. That said, the Akro headers had slightly better performance (I had the bike dyno'd with a PC5 after both)
 
Does fitting an after market exhaust on it affect the warranty? I like the idea of changing mine but don't like the idea of paying £899 for the Akro can in the showroom.

Is there the possibility that without the associated headers you could be losing power?

This test is for the S1000R, ( but why should a can behave differently on the less powerful boxer?) quite a few tests revealed a loss of 2 HP and 2 ft /lbs torque .....
