Have a look at the pre-LC mirrors. They fit and may give a bigger view
I see you are happy with the positioning but Ive always used mirror extenders and its amazing how they improve things, there was a thread on here recently where they were sourced on ebay as cheap as chips, worth a try
yes it sure was, I think I paid around 45 bangers for mine
