How long did you have to wait for the "ice-cream cornet pose" :D

Fantastic day out Clive and I am so pleased with myself that I stayed upright, I am now considering some TKC's

Many were using hydration packs and they were most useful in that heat:

I did not like the rutted Ridgeway. Once in those ruts, there was no way out with Tourances!

After cleaning the bike, I cannot believe that there is no damage whatsoever after those deep ruts !
Thanks Clive and thanks guys and gals for a tremendous day out !
:D

And in all of the excitement I forgot to show a white horse:

Yes, well, it's a good job job nobody was paying attention to the first rule back at Burbage :blast

"you know the UKGSer rules: photos first"

I had my first run out with UKGSer’s on Sunday with Clive and Steve. A big thank you to both of them. I had a great time and enjoyed meeting other tossers.

As a member of a group or club we know it is important to understand the rules and etiquette to be observed. So if a fellow rider takes a tumble at which point do you laugh, rip the piss or take a photograph ? It is OK take a photograph while the rider is still under the bike ?

Is there a points system for coming off with style ?

John

Quote pumpy :What has Possu's wallet to do with my new helmet?

I was wondering if he had showered you with gifts, but then I see he has showered himself with gifts

I had a great time on sunday and will definitely be joining another ride out soon.

Thanks to all for the advice on the day for a new guy to ride outs and off road. Much appreciated!

Thanks to Clive for introducing himself and the guided tour, great job!

cheers

Graeme

I'm sure that Clive won't mind the :topic (seeing how often he is centre stage. Camera WHORE!).

It's a Sony HC42E Handycam.

Two bullet-cams, one on the bike (fixed) and one on the helmet (first time I've used it with this helmet and the position isn't sorted yet).

I got the set-up from: http://www.bikecameras.com/products.php

Lots of useful advice here: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89813

The camera will record an hour on Mini-DV tape. It's really not much use without a LANC controller, having the ability to start/stop recording and switching between camera selection is important in saving tape. The tapes are small enough to carry a stock with me.

Quality is better on DVD (I've knocked-up a few from Morocco and last years WWI battlefield tour).

Unfortunately, we didn't stop long enough to make sure that the camera lenses were clean at times. Dust on the lens soon affects quality (mud on the bike mounted one really buggers things-up ).

Sorry I didn't manage to get you on tape. TBH the sheer numbers meant that it was never really likely in the short time we had.

Well done Mike

I was too apprehensive as a novice to take in some of the journey, so great to see it again :thumb
