My car insurance is with Ageas via their own website. Changing address tomorrow. All done online, no admin fee, no change of premium.

I am not expecting the same outcome when contacting Devitt for the bike. That is also an Ageas policy but you cannot go direct for that.

A few years ago, my wife smashed her car into another - I'm reluctant to call it an 'accident' as she was driving far too fast, down a steep hill, towards a T junction and it was snowing.....guess what happened at that T junction?

Other car written off and hers smashed up. Ageas sorted her a curtesy car, had her car repaired and paid the unfortunate soul who's car was written off. ALL done seamlessly with no fuss whatsoever.

And no, they didn't load her premium at renewal time.

Probably would now. … load her premium

Moved the bike to the new address today. Call to Devitt better than expected. Change of postcode, parked on the drive not a garage. £50.71 for the rest of the term until 1st June. Admin fee included. Ageas again...

My insurance is up for renewal at the end of this month. Quotes from Cornmarket and Bemoto are both underwritten by Ageas. In both cases, theft cover is only valid if the bike is garaged 24/7 when at my home address.
I'd be prepared to accept a night-time garaging requirement, not so happy without theft cover at home in the daytime though - I don't live in a high risk location.

I don't have a garage now but I did when I lived in Cheltenham. My bike had to be in the garage from 2200-0700 if at home. This was an endorsement on the schedule. Axa & Ageas had the same condition.
