My car insurance went up a lot last year. I blamed it on moving to a new, dodgier postcode in Wales.

A massive £219 was charged with Saga. This year they are asking for £157. The price I actually paid last year was lower thanks to £45 from Topcashback which was paid.

WTF. Maybe what someone said in another thread is right? Last year I was a recent addition to the electoral role and this did not show on my credit file until after the insurance was bought. Perhaps you pay more based on the soft search most insurers do?

Anyway, the Post Office (BISL in a different wrapper) only want £139 with a promise of a £45 rebate from Topcashback. Ageas underwriting.

Car is a 2018 Audi A1 1400cc.

My Sister kept trying to get me to join her cashback thing and I always just put her off as I thought it was only a few quid for some hassle, but that's a fair chunk of you bill back!

I do wish my car insurance was that low though.

Both my cars went up this year by nearly £50 each.
My 1250RT is due soon and i'm getting quotes of £300 plus with 11 years NCD.
I only paid £120 FC last year with zero NDC WTF.

I have had over £1200 back from Topcashback and £1800 from Quidco, but that is over a decade. That £300 a year covers my car & bike insurance just for a couple of extra clicks for a transaction.

Most of it from insurance, broadband, hotels and Laithwaites wine.

With the trips I organise, the cashback is my perk. I might get enough back to pay for one free night on the trip if there are 6 of us. My fellow travellers are aware and think it good value for all the legwork I do for them.

Back to Saga this year for the little Audi A1. Seems my theory about changing address might be right. Been here for over 2 years now so a big green tick on the credit reference check.

£111 for the year, with a promise of £45 Topcashback. Robbing bastards.
