Anyone tried out one of these? http://www.agv.it/prodotto.asp?Id_Prodotto=5&Id_Grafica=165 . I've tried one on in store - felt nice & comfy.

Silver & black ones are only £99 from Heine-G.

Can't really go wrong at that price - not much more than a new visor

No doubt they're noisier than the System helmets, but they're probably as safe, as well made and as light (ie heavy).

hummm... I've always figured you get what you pay for in life and it strikes me that you wont be getting much of a helmet for £99 which is fine if you're on a moped or a restricted 125...

recent helmet test in the likes of ride and bike magazine have some of the cheaper helmets doing very well in the all round test doing better than £300 + ones :nenau i'll stick with my c2 though :)

hummm I'd still rather trust my head to a £300 helmet than a 90quid one the C2 sounds like a much better option

I know what you mean. But, in this day & age, I suspect that the difference in cost has little to do with safety (world champions have worn AGV helmets), and more with the materials used, removeability of the liner, whether the vents are 'built-in' or stuck on and so on (not forgetting, of course, the NAME).

Or, to put it the other way round, I doubt that a manufacturer decides to build a cheap helmet and then deliberately makes it less safe than their top-of-the-range kit.

IMHO, of course ;)
