On a side note is there a website to check traffic / road works Click to expand... yes, google maps - it is updated very frequently and colour codes roads with traffic monitors fitted depending on traffic density closed roads are shown as a dotted red line and if you click on the line or icon, it will often give dates remember to select the traffic layer as it is not on by default for planned closures, then the best websites are probably the regional tourist sites
