Just removed the drain from the back of the air box (2002 GS) and got about a teaspoon full of oil in it. Admittedly I've not done it for a while (I forget) Is it normal to find some in there is it a definite indication its been over filled ? I'm usually pretty careful on levels and try not to overfill (we know what they're like for checking oil level) But anythings possible ..

Cheers

Absolutely normal.

The oil vapour from the crank case vents into the air box. Normal oil vapour will get sucked into the engine and burned. But the vapour that doesn’t burn condenses back into oil and settles in the bottom of the air box.
