Can you help?
Tried google but having no luck.
I want to give my son and nephew (both 15) a try at driving.
Im sure I've seen a place somewhere near York that for a small fee allowed you to give them them a lesson
yourself in your own car. Can find quite a few places that will get them out with an instructor but want to give them
the first experience my self. Bit like teaching them to swim or ride without stabilisers, you know, the Dad and uncle stuff.
For the life of me can't find it though.
Cheers,

Airfield at Elvington, Nr York. I don't know about using your own car but there is drag racing etc and it's also used by 'Red Letter Day' type companies. Google 'Elvington airfield', that gives you loads of options

Not quite a small fee and a fair distance from you but.... http://driving-experience.knockhill.com/experiences/teen-drive

FWIW, I taught my son to drive when he was 8 years old on the grassy expanses on the shores of a sea loch on the Isle of Mull. I've still got pics of this wee boy who could just see over the steering wheel driving my new Citröen BX estate around the field on his own.

Tockwith airfield between York and Wetherby . My mate has been going up there with his daughter in preparation for getting her out on the road .
