Airhawk, any good, worth the money??

Despite gel inserts in my 1150 Gs's seats I was being crippled after 100 miles, with an Airhawk I can easily manage 500 miles plus in a day without any pain, YES they are worth the money

I have had no problem with the standard seat - when my pillion was suffering I put the foil bladder from a box of wine, slightly inflated, on top of her seat - she said it was very comfortable all the way back from Spain, and it doubled up as a camping pillow as well! Still carry one for that to this day :o

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm!

Just done a couple of thousand miles over a few days with an Airhawk fitted and allthough i'm fairly sure it helped with any pressure point problems, nearing the end of the trip a painful "chinese burn" sensation in my nether regions made riding very uncomfortable:(

Perhaps a sheepskin may help, sort of a belt and braces solution, next time maybe:o
Shep

Could also be that it was so wet...from the rather persistant rain:blast ...., mind you I find the airhawk absolutely wonderful and Dermot doesn't....he was in pain during the GotC from the riding...so perhaps its not just how much air! I will look at the Corbin seat for him (Timolgra showed us his....VERY nice) and/or look at the old sheepy..as you say...belt and braces!
Nice to meet you by the way Shep......you didn't look in too much pain...mind you the alcohol would have helped!:augie and I just assumed you always walked that way............:P

Used Airhawks on a recent trip from Istanbul to Marmaris. 8 hours in the saddle and not a sore cheek in sight. Sliced bread, move over.

In Marmaris I met up with a guy traveling from Las Vegas to Thailand (riding on the hard groundy bits, not jesus like on the water), who also had an airhawk....must be good.
