Thinking about spending lots on an Airhawk?

Don't bother.

Get yourself a CliveCushion (TM)

Each of these quality items comes with a length of Gaffer Tape and an easy to use guide about how to attach it and how much to inflate it according to your weight and height (all worked out after extensive field trials and the use of a slide-rule by our very own Clive).

Suitable for all GS variants it may be demonstrated at the forthcoming Hograost by appointment only.

Hells teeth your gaffers rather buggered Mike,
I suppose it could be reversed for the pile sufferers out there

Well thanks for that Mike...
I'm glad that I was not even thinking of purchasing a 1200, but you have clinched it even further. It would be my recommendation seeing these steps that Clive has had to take to make the 1200 seat somewhat comfortable, that by far the best thing to would be to buy a C90, or two. You could even afford to buy a 2nd one and fit it with knobblies for off roading, and that way you could tune the engine for such moments.
Some of the seats on the C90's that I have seen have looked much more welcoming and comfortable. But each to their own. Different shapes, different sizes. Hope all goes well in the future development of this potential lifesaver for so many people, and I wish you and Clive every success in the adventure that awaits in the marketing department/arena.
I still shall not be needing one. :thumb

i've just got back from the simmerdim rally in shetland on my 1100gs. when i got to aberdeen i felt like i'd been buggered by a volvo driver. my arse was nummer than a num thing. so we got talking about the merits of sheepskin seet covers.do they or do'nt they work. well 5 of us bought skins from a very nice man at the bargain price of a tenner each. i can only comment on mine.it works for me. 420 miles back and not a thought about volvo drivers. any body going to the hogroast will see my very tastey seet cover

I've not knowingly been buggered by a Volvo driver, but I do agree that a sheepskin really is the cheapest and one of the most comfortable ways to go.

Just go to Milletts and get yourself a copy of a thermarest seat pad. Cost all of £4.50 and do the exact same job for a fraction of the cost. If your arse aches that much buy two. Used on e lately and great with a bungy to hold it in place. I think they are made by travelmates. Anyway same inflation valve etc as a thermarest one.
