I’m thinking really high metallic content alpine white - a bit like some of the Merc cars, that almost look Matt white,

Then a tank decal a bit like the SE, but G/S not GS. And of course, in TunnerUK’s memory, spray painted not decals.

So a mashup of these two.

Yeah I really hate it.

After this one I’ll not do another - if it comes to having any bespoke wiring doing it can go out to someone else for that bit.

Slight irritant is that it runs off this, not a magnet




But the new Thork remote control for Drive Mode Dashboard does run off the front wheel sensor, so I get best of both worlds and duty plus spare. Always good to have.

Just need a new speedo drive and bush.

Motobins out of stock, I’m boycotting Motorworks (but they’re out of stock too) so remembering Steptoe’s sage advice, a quick call to the “stealer” and job’s a good ‘un, they will be delivered in a week.

Not in the slightest. You’re correct that it fits into the gearbox - this one uses the gear to drive a sensor instead of a speedo cable.

Nae worries Mike - I’ve bought new because everything else is new, and it didn’t cost that much tbh.

I like the redundancy of having a relatively conventional drive, plus the front wheel sensor and GPS speed I get from the DMD on my TabNav.

All will become clear.

Simple question from a simple fella …

Does the battery charge light come on when you switch ignition on? Or just when the battery ain’t charging? I can’t remember …

Both Of the above,
The charge lamp will have +ve and will earth through the rotor/brushes,when the big spinning thing is moving and producing +ve the lamp will go out.
Assuming a semi standard set up
