Wanted Airhead driveshaft compressor tool

Presume you’ve seen the new option ?

I wish I had! The only one I thought was available was the one made by cycle works in the US used on the Brooks airhead video so spent the day manufacturing one from bits of steel plate and threaded bar I had, it works in a fashion but bends a tad and the spring has tried to break free a couple of times, getting the snap ring out was a pain but eventually managed to get the knackered shaft out of the swing arm. Getting it all back with the new shaft may be a problem with my tool so will probably invest in one. Cheers Mr Moz

I have the Flatracer version and the end plates do flex a bit in use - but it does the job.

The threaded parts are sharp and can scratch the paint / powder coat on your swingarm.

I covered mine in a plastic sleeve to mitigate this.

I have one I bought from the US, so probably Cycle Works. It's not for sale, but I can say it does the job.

I also used it to replace the spring on the gearbox internal cush drive.
