ah, BUT, it doesn't stick such big holes in your pockets as normal keys.
Turn it, shirley?

the folding airhead key was of course designed by the same sadistic bastard that designed the famous "impossible to reach with your foot" side stand
he pissed himself laughing at all our fumbling for years after!
it drove him quite mad in the end, he spent his last days locked in a lunatic asylum.... which was a fitting end for someone whose creative genius had caused so much hand and foot buggering about for so many
its all very sad i tell you.. very sad
hm

yhis however has never been substantiated.I did of course start this story at the end so to speak and really should fill in a few details....
the Designers name was Heir Ernst Kuntz or Heir E Kuntz to his friends
hm

What did BMs prior to the early 70s have? Was there a very early Kuntz prototype?![]()

Proff
Can I use Graphogen on my folding key?![]()

To his credit though he came up with the design for the 1200GS whilst in the asylum![]()

My Airhead when it had an ignition key had a foldie bit, why is that?
BTW I don't really give a shite I just wanted to see if the Airhead section could manage to strectch a thread on keys out to over 4 pages...![]()

I think you have got it a bit wrong aqbout the esteemed Herr Kuntz. I feel he must have designed the sidestand first, hence the need to have a foldie key so that it didnt break. I believe he was considering foldie handlebars next.
By the way, whats he doing now, working for Toyot???
