For a moment there Dave my heart went all pitter patter as I thought you were going to have my old one off Peepingtom and start hacking it to pieces. Not that it would be any of my business you understand...but....oh well, you know! (it would have made me weep just a little).
.

to be honest pete i did think about buying it as i do like the airheads ,but for me as an everyday transport i just wanted something a bit more modern with say fuel injection and for £4000 (or so ) i could get an 1150 ,or a ktm 990 ,still a nice bike though

Crack on, I was thinking of maybe turning my R80Rt into a G/s clone, but then again I have a G/s already and a Gs, so I will possibly Cafe it, or even something standard looking with modifications, but without the fairing,

it is a monolever with the basic kit, no extra gauges and it did come with single disc, which has been upgraded to twin,

I will be keeping my R100Rt monolever standard though!

If it doesn't sell I may hack it to pieces :reaper:fiddle :D

That was kind of my thinking for selling it and buying the Trumpet.

Oh God! I've sold it to the glue factory! :D

no i didnt sell the welder i have bought a brand new gas mig welder allso have a tig welder and an arc welder ,and now a hydraulic bike lift .ooooooooooooh .

yes pete i think the old airhead in its present form its days are numbered

it has been i think ill try and post a picture you will know the bike here you go .

That bike started life as a mono. I supplied the forks wheels, swinging arm, bevel box and subframe. I mistakenly sold the wrong bevel box so the bikes fitted with a R90/6 unit. The front end was also from a 1976 R90/6

I like that

Vonzetti do a subframe for £160 http://vonzeti.com/index.php/product/t19-bmw-subframe/
and a seat for £165 http://vonzeti.com/index.php/product/t20-seat-unit/

some cut down stainless mudguards from flatracer http://www.flatracer.com/#/bmw-front-mudguards/4582503414 and http://www.flatracer.com/#/bmw-rear-mudguards/4582575178

Youd get a good price for the wheels and be able to buy cast for alot less. Sort out some musguards and a coat of paint and you'll be well on the way.

Have no fear it's still more in less in one piece, I do fancy the PD tank on the other one though :augie

Ooooh look at you and all ya fancy gear , don't you like a bad back or somethink ?

I'm guessing after all this time air-cooled BM's should feel dated and do in many ways but still hugely capable of doing what they've always done. Just a bit slower than modern bikes.

Better get the :popcorn out then

im used to slow bikes ive had harleys .
no i dont want a bad back i like to sit down and work in comfort ,ive got a nice wheelie stool i can wheel myself around the lift "iron side style "

ok rob great find ,yes the sub frame is worth it ,is it a straight bolt on ?, the seat i may (or may not) make my own or at least cover it ,the ally mudguards are just what i was looking for ,it has a vapour tech gauge thingy which ill change for a single speedo ,so thats about two weeks work and £500 job done .
i am likeing grey and white as a colour scheme (may change ) and yes change the spoked wheels for cast ,so thats every thing changed then :blast

Don't forget a big box of turn-ups for your troosers Dave. Although you probably have a good supply already I'm guessing. :D

i have ordered extra "turn ups" and i have been growing my beard and moustache (im not kidding) so i can nearly wax it and have a "circus ringmaster style" ,not that im worried about looks or anything like that

I shall look forward to marvelling with great awe at the new beard....I mean bike! :blast

The bevel box was fine. I fecked up big time sold the R90 bevel box instead of the R80 that should have gone. Fitted my RS bevel box onto the R90. It then cost me more to buy another RS bevel box than I sold all of the parts for your bike for :blast

I've also sold several parts to guys on this site at excellent prices to help them out only for the parts to then appear on ebay at a vastly inflated price. If I'm not forthcoming with parts for peoples projects any more I'm sure will understand. You can only have the piss taken out of you so many times.
