Airhead swing arm bearing mounting threads

After reading DrFarkoff's post (now closed) asking for an M24 x 1.25 tap in the 'For Sale & Want' section a week or so ago I remembered a dodge I used to overcome the problem of damaged threads on the bearing mountings. Here's what I wrote in the FS&W in case it might save the OP fifty quid on buying a tap, perhaps it might help others.

Just seen the closed thread on here on 15/2/’16 and thought perhaps I might make a suggestion.

I managed to cross-thread the spigot while replacing it in the frame (not badly at all as it happens), but all I did was to just put it in from the other side and screwed it back outwards with the aid of the allen key. That cleaned up both threads, the one in the frame and the one on the spigot.

I think I may post this in the Airheads section.

Cheers John My problem is that there are 3 or 4 threads "stuck" in the grooves and they are well in I need a tap or a Bolt with an undercut groove to clean them out
