Got my gs out of garage tonight, left if ticking over, while sticking my lid on and shutting garage door, turned round to walk to bike and a pop and dust/smoke came out of head and then cut out.

Initially started again but on one cylinder, gave it a bit of gas and cut out again

Turns over but wont start, can anyone point me in the right direction

Will have a better look tomorrow, when I have a bit of time. but any tip would help

Cheers

first simple one is petrol - is petrol low - flip in into Reserve - pull one pipe off to see if it is coming through

Won't start.

1;Check petrol is coming through.
2; Pull both spark plugs, ground the threads to the head, and see if you have sparks on BOTH sides.

Not starting can be: no fuel
Or no spark (at the correct timing)
So simple to diagnose,...... usually.

Good luck.

Dropped valve, holed the piston, bent the conrod, damaged the big end, but spend a couple of thousand and it should be ok :D

A wee Tip i learned many moons ago , For a Combustion engine to start ,,, Its Needs ,,, Fuel , Spark , Air , take it in what ever order you choose .
