Will an Airman compressor work off my GSA 12v socket, or will it cut out because of the canbus? Do I need to add an additional 12v socket straight from the battery?

You might just get away with it as the airman is reported to pull 4.5 Amp peak. The Canbus limit is 5 Amps.
However, I wouldn't risk it not working on a rainy night.
Fit an extra aux socket via a fuse from the battery. Useful for other things too.

However, doesn't your airman come with croc clips ?

I believe this depends on whether the pump has more than a 5 amp current draw. Others will probably be along shortly to correct me.

It'll more than likely blow it...Do what I've done with the same pump .... Attach your optimate cable connectors to the battery ( they're on permanently )

Then get an identical male to the female on the cable you've installed, and replace the one on the Airman with it . then you'll have easy capacity to trickle charge the battery, and with the same bit of kit plug your airman in....

I've done this on a few GS's , and it works :thumb2

I've had two and neither has tripped the cut off.

Bryn, I don't have any Optimal cable connectors, do you mean a cable like this..

I do however have a Ctek cable attached to my battery, I wonder if I could use it for the pump somehow?
