hello
no doubt this info is here some place... could some one please tell me what kind of ajustments i should make to the bike, a 1200 GSA, in order to carry me (90kg) and kit (approx 50kg) for a 95% on-road trip to Spain.
All you need to do is wind up the rear preload so the headlight points in the right direciton and/or that your view in your mirrors is the same as normal without having to adjust them in any way. your ride hight will now be just the same as normal. You do not need to change the front, as all the extra waight is at the back of the bike (luggage and passenger) and the bike will handle as normal except for the extra waight.
Increas the tyre pressures 2.5 bar front, 2.9 rear (these figurs are for the 12GS, so the GAS12 might be different. Check the hand book) I discovered recently the importance of increasing the pressures, so don't forget to do them.
Finaly you might need to increas the damping 'found at the bottom of the rear shock' to stop any bob or floating sensation. This is very easy to do with a screwdriver, and makes all the difference.

Any tips for a safe ferry tie down? its my first time don't you know!!
Thanks,
Adam
Carry an old towel and put it over the 'rear' seat (this is more ridgid than the front) With the bike on the side stand, the steering to the left. Put the strapp across the seat and tie it down firmly but not too tight or you may damage the stand.
Or you could just lay the Fekker on the floor and pick it up when you get there
Hpoe this helps, enjoy your trip. Val.
