Anybody here fitted the Akra Ti headers yet?
All going well so far, but have now found the lead for the third lambda sensor is too short.
Presumably there’s a workround, but not found it yet!

This might help

Thanks Bomber, most helpful. It must be my age or something, youtube is normally the last place I think to look for advice!
I had already worked out how to free up the 3rd lambda cable by then, but I had to cut 3 cable ties to be sure there was enough slack; 2 of them could only be reached by sawing away deep inside the bike with a long, thin kitchen knife.
I had done a few hundred miles with some SS Arrow headers which sounded brilliant, especially with the quickshifter blips, but were just a bit too noisy at fast idle on a cold start for an early shift. I must get round to putting the things up for sale when I can be arsed…
The Akra items, with their “pre-muffler” are a little bit quieter at start-up, but still sound good on the move, this is using the stock silencer which is pleasingly light and unrestrictive.

does the arrow system have the rear Lambda? let me know what price you are looking for as once my trip is out of the way i could be tempted.
I already have the BHP tuner and mine is loud on cold start up at the tune keeps the valve open!

Hi mate, yes it has a third lambda sensor hole, in a much easier position than the Akra item, the lead won’t have to be extended.
Won’t be greedy for an effortless sale, what’s a nearly-new header worth to you? Cost me just over 800…

Enjoy unspoilt Spain!
I’m off for a shorter trip next week (Normandy/Brittany/Loire only due to broken shoulder) but will be back by 28th Jun.
Arrow headers already back in original box so shouldn’t take too long to get to you.

Any Trip on the Bike is Good. 1st time away on the GS normally I'm things that are not associated with touring!!! Last was a trip to Italy on a V4 Streetfighter!

The mighty GS will make your touring so much easier, better view and the suspension will make light work of the lumpier bits of the Picos.
Oh, and the telelever front end will save your bacon at some stage when you find yourself needing to brake VERY late into a surprise mountain hairpin!

Hi going to have to pass on the Arrow Sorry.
Someone offered me the Akra headers for almost half price (bought it and then traded for V4 Multi Rally)
