Hey guys & girls,

I am in love. In love with the Akrapovic 2-1-2 RACING exhaust that is available for the 1200 range...

But what about us 1150 riders? It does not appear to be an option on their site, but surely (pleasepleaseplease) it can be fitted to a 1150GSA? Anyone tried it? Anyone know if it's possible?

Thanks for your help!

On my shopping list to "make it fit" also, if you decide to gofor it would be interested in seeing.

Sorry to but in on the thread Dave, are you thinking of treating that lovely 1150GSA of yours??:drool

I do hope she's been behaving herself. May see you both soon:D:D:D:D

I don’t think it would be an easy job to modify a full system designed for the 1200. You’d be much better off buying an off the shelf system. AFAIK the only full system available for the 1150 is the laser hot cam system. I have one fitted to my bike – looks stunning, sounds amazing and makes more power however you do need to remove the bash plate to fit the system AND you have to remove the entire exhaust system to change the oil = very annoying.

I looked into this a lot and as far as I can see there are no other complete systems available for the 1150.

Exhaust mods

Try this company, get a hand made one. I had work done on my old 1150 and Grandtrousers of this here forum had a full underseat system made for his 1150. Looked and sounds fantastic, bonus of 2 full size panniers as well. Work is top notch and I think better quality/price would be hard to find. I watched them make up a SS pipe to reposition the exhaust on my GS,welding and pipe bending just awsom to see. If you can show them what you want they will make it :thumb2

Try searching underseat exh or give Grandtrousers (Mark) a pm see if he has any pictures. I will see if I have any of my old gs and post later.

Dr Alf Can only find this shot of the extension they made to clear the panniers. Took about 30 min from offering up a bit of straight pipe to the welded, bent, rolled and polished finished artical. 100% better than the bolt on lashups I've seen before.
