Hi All

looking for a new slip on exhaust.

Need your help to decide

Selection needs to based on ease of installation and no remaping and if the standard BMW vario pannier can be used without modification.

Bike is BMW R1200GS Rallye Sport.

Yes Lost a bit of money. But resolved. A very huge Thank you to all the advice and support shown by the forum members.

From experience,Akras work extremely well with no remapping.
I've had them for years on numerous KTMs and also on my R1200GSA.
Remus also very good and their Hexacone looks great.Had one on AT and it was brilliant with top quality and good fixings.
Yoshi do a great deal of development with the likes of Suzuki but not sure about BMW.

Get the Akra,if only to piss off the so-called hippy !!!

Tad biased by akra titanium.

I wouldn't go for carbon as big twins have a habit of expanding them !

If truth be told any of the three mentioned will be fine, they are all quality end can's. Whoever is doing the best deal, would be the one to go for.

ive ordered the same bike and went with the akra.
i have a remus on my 14 bike but it always felt like a poor mans akra when parked up beside others :)

the akrapovics ar £709 from NN's.

Remus £509

Yoshi £529

Any better deals elsewhere?

bear in mind the akra for the euro 4 is slightly different internally from last years. Hence why i am not keeping the remus. I just haggled mine fitted in the deal when buying the bike and got good discount. Maybe worth asking the question. (plus akras still fetch £500+ 2 years later when selling/changing bikes)

Ps... yoshis are horrible looking on a GS unless you cut in down by 6 inches imo

I like the Yoshi

There is a thread on here somewhere that shows Roadcraft riders Yoshi on his TB

And the sound is fabulous

so much better value than Akra and as well made if not better

I have a Termignoni on my Triple Black with baffle removed, loving the sound compared with the Akra.

I had the same decision to make recently, I chose the Yoshimura for 3 reasons:-

1. Quality
2. Previous experience
3. Price

Personally I think the triangular Yoshimura looks great on the GS, yes it is slightly longer than other pipes, but in my opinion short pipes don't suit this bike.

Buy what you personally like the look of, I think the Termis and the Akras are way over priced compared to others. The Yoshimura is a quality piece of kit and sounds great!

Good service from here :thumb2

RBD666 - I like the Yoshi a lot (the sound is superb) but I disagree that the Termis and Akras are "way overpriced". They are more expensive yes, but this is because they're European brands offering titanium sleeves and real carbon throughout, not just the end cap. Apples with apples (for the non stainless Yoshi and carbon sleeve) I think the price diff is only about £100.

Nice as the Yoshis and Termis look I can't help thinking they're a bit wrong on a GS. I'd probably go for one of the black Akras if money were no object, but as it is, the stock can's staying on mine a little while longer.

Yoshi for me too, don't like the look of the look, sound or price of the Akra. Liked like the Remus(Lupin) too but got my Yoshi here on the forum at a good price so I went with that, glad I did TBH as I slightly prefer the Yoshi over the Remus(Lupin).

Looks like It's going to be yoshi.

Can these be fitted at home without remapping? And the BMW vario panniers fit with these?
