Akrapovic - Whats it worth?

So looking into Akrapovic system, might have the opportunity to buy the below. Its been on the guys bike since new and covered 2800 miles. I've looked through some old FS threads and eBay but struggling to decide what it's worth.

They are worth 800 new. Think bmw battersea are selling at 749. So a rlatively little used one would be 500ish?

I have a mate who has one and was looking to buy a black Akrapovic for his recently purchased a Triple Black but needs to get rid of his Titanium HP first. £550 was the figure I mentioned to him

Plenty of other high quality brands available at lower money.

Between £400-£500 take it if you think it's worth it, I bought mine 2 years ago for £650 new & really like it. (Personally I don't like the chrome wrapped silencers it came with) so for me money well spent

It's a quality can but you could save a little money by not buying the HP branded version and go for one of these instead

A mate of mine asked for an Akrapovic for his 2015 R1200 R and the dealer wanted £910 for this carbuncle

I can recommend you the Remus or the AC-Schnitzer exhaust (both are identical only the color is different).
They are cheaper and the quality is better than the Akrapovic. I have bought mine in germany by Hornig:

Some friend of me have changed from Akrapovic to AC-Schnitzer/Remus because the quality was not good enough.

Having had both your way off the mark regaring Akra quality..its streets ahead in material and build quality..its beautifully put together, mines nearly 4 yrs old and looks brand new had it on 2 LCs and it will be on my next one if i dont go orange, i paid £700 from a Dealer and ill get a huge chunk of that back if i decide to sell it on

you will get your money back at that price when you sell on, you might lose £50 - £100 at most, stong money but its the best..dont put tat on ya bike

I would agree with you on the 2 brands listed but Akra are pricing themselves out of the market when yoshimura produce a truly beautiful and well made product ( at least equal to akrapovic) for several hundred quid less

yes easely, but do it before you use it for the first time, I took mine off just by pulling it and it left no residues on the exhaust

Of course it can .... then you can scratch 'HP' into the titanium with a rusty 6 inch nail

mine had been on 3 lc with between them about 20k,still come up like new and even better with the baffles out!
