Akropovic..... cleaning

my bike has a lovely end can but it looks like its been cleaned with a brillo pad....

ok its not that bad but you can clearly see where something abrasive has been used to clean it....

can any products be used to remove the swirls.... bearing in mind I don't want logo etching to be affected.... ??

Was thinking autosol ? but then I don't want it looking like a chrome hot rod can.....

Any solutions ??

You could put helicopter tape over the logo. Its strongly adhesive. Then polish the can with an ultra fine wet & dry paper. This will give a clean but dull finish. Polishing over that can go to full gloss so don't try too hard and you should have a chance.

Bead blasting or maybe soda lasting might also help.
