Alan Jefferies

My GS needs a service. I rang Vertu yesterday and they told me the next available slot was at the end of September.

I don’t think that is a good way to run a business but am aware they are down to 3 technicians as they have partner company with one recently.

Tried Steve at Rainbow - he is booked up until the end of October!

Am scratching my head now as to where to go.
Have you tried Barry robsons ?

I rang Vertu Shipley at 5.40pm last night, given the first available date, and got booked for a service on 14th August

Good to know. This was Rotherham. Will try Shipley today. Thanks. Much appreciated.

I ‘only’ had to wait three weeks, mine’s in on Wednesday.

My impression of them’s not been very good so far though, the process of buying the bike was a shambles.

Such a shame as Shaun ran a brilliant ship when it was Rainbow.

Was in AJ yesterday, staff are a little reticent about take over.
Resurrecting an old thread, but I fell out with Vertu after they spent two months failing to sort out the rattly engine of my GSA in 2024 and have subsequently jumped ship to Triumph (out of the frying pan and into the fire) after 18 years of riding BMW's.

Many of the old AJ's staff have now jumped ship with Dan, Paul and Sam working at Triumph West Yorkshire and Steve (the tall southern sales guy) now at Craigs Honda. It's obviously not a happy ship at Vertu...

The loss of 'family owned/run' businesses and changes to larger impersonal 'group/national ' companies often does end up this way

FWIW I bought a couple of bikes from Jeffreys' back in the day

Only Simon still there perhaps ?

The sales person I dealt at Vertu Shipley with was very helpful and even offered to MOT the bike free as it had less than a year on it. I’ll be taking it in for this doing in the next few weeks.

I had a look at a R9T Urban there a couple of weeks ago - but tank had some seriously deep scratches on it
The did offer a new R12 G/S with a couple of grand off
Seemed pleasant enough
