Hi,

I recently bought a 1150 ADV and I decided to fit an AutoWatch motorcycle Alarm. Not a name that I have heard of before, but the alarm does have a pager, which I thought was useful. The only problem is that I need to find out where the + wire, from the ignition switch (when the ignition is on) to connect to the alarm, attaches. Can anybody help me with the location and colour of the wire. I was thinking of placing the main alarm box under the tank, where the ABS usually sits and was hoping to tap into this positive feed on one of the connection blocks.

Thanks,

Stigler

I think its a green one and its on the left side of the conn blocks as you sit on the bike, if my memory serves me correctly, have a probe with a test meter and yes that's the place to put it .

There are aftermarket pagers that connect into the indicator to transmit the radio signal, I have one myself.

Thanks Jim,
I needed this positive feed wire for the alarm itself and the pager transmitter unit, in turn is then connected to a wire that is negative, when the alarm is activated. Also I did not want to site the alarm/transmitter near the fuse box, as under the tank seemed the best place to stop it being tampered with.

Cheers for your help

Paul
