Not sure if this has been posted here...i had a spare remote that didnt activate the alarm.
This worked for me not sure if its the right way but it worked..
to get it working and avoid dealers charging you...
Hold left button on the remote down then turn ignition on
after 4 seconds
hold down left button then turn key off... you will see indicators flash one and alarm activated.
job done..
