Had a Meta alarm fitted yesterday. On the way home tonight, rev counter died to the pin, bike still running fine. Carried on, assuming minor fault, get it done under warranty. Got home, thought, just try switching it off, then restart again, might clear fault. Switched off, back on again, all the correct lights came on, fuel pump whirrs etc, press starter button, nothing! No click, whirr, nothing. Tried to switch alarm on/off, no response from alarm. With ignition off, the LED flashes slowly for 4 or 5 minutes, then goes off, with ignition on, LED is goes off. Chicken and egg deal now, has the revcounter fault triggered an error in the alarm, or has the alarm or it's installation failed and caused the revcounter fault. Certainly appears the alarm is immobilising the starter circuit. Wish I hadn't bloody bothered! , I'd ring BMW recovery(bikes only 8 weeks old) but they're likely to blame the alarm.Anyone any ideas
