I`m off on another little jaunt in July and this time it will be from San Francisco to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and back. I`ll be heading up there with my cousin James, his wife Polly (who is trip photographer) on their 1200GS and my mate Robbie from Oregon on his 650 Dakar. I`ll be on my trusty 1100 which survived the trials and tribulations of the Trans America Trail last year!!

This time I thought I`d start a justgiving page to help raise some money and awareness to the Acorns Childrens Hospice in the Midlands. I first visited them a couple of years ago and was staggered at the care and support that they give very ill children and their families. A lot of the kids are terminally ill and the way they live there short lives is a lesson to us all. I`ve never seen such optimism and happiness in one place as strange though that seems.

Acorns, like most hospices, are supported from charitable donations and it amazes me that they have little, or no, government funding. We have got something wrong somewhere.

I know times are tough and we are all bombarded with requests for money but any donations would be very welcome and don`t worry, you aren`t sponsoring me personnaly and every penny goes the the hospice. Simply click on the justgiving button at the bottom of the page.

Many thanks in advance and I`ll be doing a trip report when I get back which has to be worth a amall donation at least:D
