I've been using a set of the bottoms for a few years for September trips to Spain. The work well with one exception that seems to be common to all merino stuff, they catch on the velcro at the knee armour pockets so you get little holes. I thought I had moths...

I’ve been buying the Mountain Warehouse merino stuff. Really soft and comfortable, but their ridiculous ‘knock down’ pricing irritates me.

I keep the Bangladeshi sewing machine man, at my local dry cleaners, engaged dealing with any holes I spot. He does a tip-top job, often for free.
