"All Year Biker" treatments

Folks. Having recently acquired a new GS, has anyone any thoughts on the service provided by the company above ? For the prices they charge, it seems a small amount of money to further protect our bikes !!

Any opinions at all guys ???
 
Sunny day, wash the bike, go have a little ride to dry it off properly, come home wipe it over, apply acf50 loads more fun, and no high powered jet washer anywhere near the bike............:D
 
I've had it done twice. It's pretty good value and surprising how good the valet is for the money.

I'm getting it done again at the end of September.

I do ride on 'nice' days during the winter so it gives me some base protection against the salt etc. I do rinse with cold water after each ride though. I also top up the ACF50 in the most exposed areas. To maintain the protection you've also got to not mind your bike looking a bit grubby. Or get it done again.
 
Yep, used them for years normally get my bikes done a few times a year as they live outside.

Never had a bike rot on me
 
I have it done 2 or 3 times a year. Nice deep clean which it wouldn’t get with me. Dont expect miracles though, my current bike (2yrs old and a good 5 applications) has had everything replaced (yes, pretty much everything) and some bits twice... I ride all year round though, every week day.

+1. Highly recommended for the price.

I had mine done the first time in September 16 just before I had my second hip replaced. It looked better than when I rode it away from the dealer. I had it done again earlier this year in preparation for the abortive shipping to the USA.

Christ, just seen the prices of that ! £245 for a large trailie. The minute you ride it and get caught out in a shower you're back to square one. £70 with all year biker is a tad more palatable as I am suspecting it is the professional application of ACF50 that folk really seek ?
 
I watched a "All Year Biker" chap clean a couple of bikes at Loomies a few months ago. The wash didn't look that special and was nothing better than I usually do at a weekend. The special treatment was the covering up of the machine with cloths and spraying with an ACF50 alternative (can't remember the name) via a gun / compressor. This made the bike very shiny and new looking. I concluded that the wash bit was average and the covering in spray, probably not worth the money as the whole process took less that an hour. The bike was dripping with the spray stuff and the same result can be had with a liberal spraying of FS365 imo.
 
I’ve been using a product by Vapor-tek called Steelgard (I think). Sprays on much like all the usual suspects but has a big advantage in that it ‘dries’ rather stays wet, and therefore doesn’t attract grit and general road shit. Hard to tell with these products, but so far has worked as well as ACF50 which I used to good effect in the past.
 
I've done my bike from new in the garage,takes ages,if all year biker did a service near where I live Birmingham/blackcountry then I'd happily pay 70 quid for themto do it

You're right about the price being steep. It was £80 when I had my GSA done earlier this year!
 
The AllYearBiker guy I uses has never taken less than 2hrs + set-up time etc....
 
Get a couple of mates together and negotiate a discount.

Most cleaners can do 3/4 bikes in a day

Vines of Guildford do a valet and acf50 application for £99. Got a voucher of them reducing it to £30 so I'm giving it a go this week.

Will do. Booked in for Thursday. Wouldn't normally bother but bike is gong in anyway so thought worth a go for 30quid
