On seeing what the valeters are like there and knowing how they apply the ACF50 I wouldn't waste your money. Get someone approved by Allyearbiker and watch them do it. Otherwise prepare for blotchy ACF50, which spreads to your seat and grips. I speak from experience!

Having seen how most dealers wash bikes, I’d be inclined to agree. But, there’s always an exception to the rule.

I had my GS done by Joel at his Ashford, Kent location yesterday. Although they state that they are not a valet service, my bike came up absolutely spotless as usual. I also decided to go for the XCP Rust Blocker treatment instead of my usual ACF50, for an extra £15.00.
AYB state that this product is a new generation ACF50 with superior qualities over ACF50, such as longevity and durability. It's applied in the same way, which I like as it creeps into all the difficult to reach places.
I do ride through the winter so will be interested to see if the claims of it being a superior product to ACF50 are true. I will report back in early 2019.

Watching this with interest. Thinking of getting mine done this year. I have always washed it meticulously and treated with F365 after every wash, and never had any problems. But might get it done. Those that have had it done, do then wash you bike periodically, or leave it for the winter and wash it off in the spring? If you wash it, say 2 weeks after having the AYB treatment, will the ACF just wash off.... sorry if I am being thick, just interested to know

Normally, I just hose it off with cold water after each ride and then give it a good wash in the spring. It does look a bit grubby by March but I'm not worried about that. If I was, I wouldn't use AYB: I'd do it all myself. I do reapply the ACF50 by cloth or brush to really vulnerable areas in mid winter, just to make sure I get no surprises in march.
I decided to go for the XCP option this time to see if it is more durable than the ACF50. They also say it can be lightly washed, so no grubby bike.
In relation to Nutty's question about a guarantee: although nothing specific was mentioned, if I ended up with corrosion that I hear about in this forum, I would go straight back to them and expect to be listened to. After all, they applied it so it couldn't be said that I hadn't done this properly.

To make it clear: if you wash your bike properly you will wash off the ACF50!
Had my Hexhead GSA cleaned and treated with XCP last year by the local ‘Allyearbiker’ and it did come back very clean, my only reservation being the Jet Wash but as I hadn’t seen it being used I don’t know how careful he was. Overall happy with what was done but decided to do my 1150 GS myself using ACF50 applied via a cloth and I think a did just as good a job for a lot less and I still have plenty ACF50 left to do both bikes myself this year.
I did find that after treatment both bikes were easier to clean and afterwards wiped them down with the ACF50 soaked cloth used to do the 1150. Neither bike has any corrosion, but that probably down to regular cleaning and liberal applications of WD40 over the years, rather than the XCP or ACF50.

After a recent jaunt over to France and Barcelona I decided today was the day to clean all the death and destruction off the bike. An hour later after a spray of Muc Off and 10 mins with the jet wash all was good. 30 mins with the dryer followed by 15 mins with a brush and some ACF 50 it was done. Won’t clean it now until next spring. I had my old 1150 GSA done by the All Year Biker guy once and swore I’d never pay for it again, clean and treat it much better myself....

The point is that you’re not supposed to wash it until after the winter otherwise there’s no point in applying the ACF50...
Exactly. And make sure you keep topping up the ACF50 if you ride in the rain
