Well today was the day I was told I could pick up my new GSA when I ordered it over a month ago and what have I heard from the dealer......................NOTHING
To be honest with the so far shite service from them coupled with all the recent breakdowns and 'recalls' that increase by the day with the GS and GSA I'm seriously thinking of pulling out of this purchase.
I also had no response from them querying the costs they quoted re Autocom and GPS fitting despite contacting them twice several weeks ago.
I can't believe that I'm potentially spending over £12000 and I don't even get a call to apologise re late delivery.
Well bollocks to them I say it will no doubt be a different story when they want something from me

Second that re Rainbow - My GSA wired for Autocom and GPS completely free on delivery. I expected no less.

They are not perfect - but they ARE the best. (You know you've cracked it when you get Steve to smile... say no more!)

Cheers

Roger

Got to agree all AJ's are interested is rich suited dudes
pop down to rainbow they show 100% interest in you
i called into aj's for a test ride only to be told if you damage the bike first £1000 to pay not that i was to fall off but it made me feel alienated

went to rainbow just looking
the boss pushed the bike out of the showroom away you go he said we close at 1700hrs
and said it was on rainbows insurance
made me feel special

What is a matter with these people, everyone knows good service = more sales = more profit. It ain't rocket science :blast Even when they make a mistake - if they deal with it properly they turn a negative into a positive. And we call ourselves Tosser :spitfire. Hope it works out for you fella :beerjug: There not all bad, I'm doing about 1000 miles a month and no probs so far :augie:thumb2

 Yet..my AJ experience was totally different...
Nice sales man, couldn't do enough for me, the bike has needed some warranty work (front discs and drive flange:D ) and they had it in with 2 hrs of me talking to them, parts ordered 20mins later and the bike booked in within 36hrs
Loan bike sorted, and free coffee:beerjug:
the "only" fly in the oinkment so far being the £15 Admin charge for the Loan bike Ins....THAT peeved me slightly but I swallowed it as I didn't have time to complain...:spitfire
and NO.....I'm not a "suit" far from it...:bounce1

Certainly NOT true @ Rainbow

I think you'd struggle to find a better allround BMW bike dealer in the UK

Whether it comes to sales/service/parts/accessories and clothing

The staff in each dept are superb and all practice quality customer service each and every day

They did their best to persuade me not to purchase a bike from them.................and to think about it carefully

Look at this years Rider Power survey. Rainbow used to be good when main man was in touch not now he is on a back burner.

I had the Opposite with Rainbow and AJ a couple of years ago.

Spoke to Raindow over an Adventurer they had in the showroom and arranged to meet the guy the next day to pay for it, went down Cash in pocket then was told that the bike had gone and the guy I had spoken to wasn't even in. There can't help you attitude didn't go down to well so I went to Shipley and gave them my money and more since.

Well the update is that the bike has been sat in the showroom for God knows how long because the saleman I dealt with is off on holiday.
Another guy has told me I can have the bike on Monday, gawd knows how long I would have waited if I didn't chase them up!
On the plus side a guy in parts seemed ok and seemed au-fait with my bike and the accessories I'd ordered
All I can say is that they must be making some money if they forget about a customer and his £12 grand bike sat in the showroom doesn't remind them!

Your just one of many with to much dosh buying a fashon bike, i did it too.
The best thing that happend to KTM was two second rate actors pushing up sales before quality. Wish i still had my R1100GS.

I test rode it after getting sick of the contorted riding position of sportbikes aggravating an old knee injury which was getting worse as the years went by.
I liked the look of it and read positive reviews by various motorcycle journalists. I loved the test ride and put an order in not because I wanted to be fashionable but because I loved riding the GSA.
As for having too much dosh I'm financing it with a bank loan in the main with my existing bike as deposit so aren't rich by any means, I just love motorcycling so spend a large proportion of what I do have on it.
I can't comment on quality as I haven't got the bike yet......it could turn into an ownership nightmare or it may be the best bike I've ever had, if I don't buy one I will never know!
I'm hoping the dealer customer service improves from here on in though and I'll be sending in a letter to the MD of the dealership at the end of the buying experience highlighting whats good and whats not about their service.
