Alloy wheels on my 1100

The wheels look lovely and you'll enjoy the quicker turn-in and handling. The front mudguard will never look right, though - are you planning on changing it?

I think that looks great, I wouldn't change the front mudguard.

What model were the new wheels from and was their any modification needed? I've got a 96 1100 and have given up trying to get my spoked rims to look half decent - I think the only option would be to strip the wheels completely and get them powder coated which I think would cost a fortune.

I think the wheels look great, unfortunately the mudguards horrible. It would look so much better with a smaller neater front mudguard.

Agree with the neater, smaller mudguard suggestion, but I've seen some very neat jobs done by reprofiling the originals...

look quite smart I reckon :D

Very nice. Which wheels did you use, was it a straight forward swop, how much has it lowered the bike, and do you run out of ground clearance. I know there is a few questions there, but i am considering doing the same to mine.:beerjug:

The wheels are 1150r .you have to use the pressed steel abs rings and abs spacer on back wheel ........... oh and the 1150r speedo drive its a different thickness ...... then they go straight in

r1150r wheels front and back ..... few small things to do but bolt straight in really

fairly straight forward ...... lowers the bike maybe an inch but sits nicer on the side stand now ( centre stand is more awkward ) ground clearance is fine , much smoother on the road with the road tyres and turns so much better
