Alternative aluminium topbox for £50

Has anyone considered or tried using one of these aluminium boxes as an alternative solution for a topbox that doesnt cost the earthat £52

You may find they are made from plywood under the skin, and swell up as soon as it rains. Thats the normal outcome on these .I've just ordered enough 2mm ally to make panniers for £90 so might be cheaper and better quality making them yourself ? IMHO

These look to be better quality, this being the biggest box, but look round the site. Shedloadsa choices there.
