Alternative rear brake pads.

The most reasonable explanation for the 'excessive' rear pad wear is that (especially when using Dynamic mode as this seems to make more use of the rear brake for stability control) because the bike has linked brakes, and the rear brake is used whenever the front brake is applied, owners who have had bikes with non linked brakes in the past, who were unusually light on rear brake use (who isn't) are now seeing the sort of wear that they would see if they used the rear brakes more like they should have been.

If that makes sense?
Basically, if you had been using your brakes properly in the past, it wouldn't seem like they were wearing faster now.:hide

Well I did get nearly 8k from the original rear pads which included a 3k trip around the Alps etc so a lot of hard braking.

I'm happy with the mileage and still had 1.5mm on one and about 3-4mm on the other. NOG didn't have the GSA ones in stock and offered me the K1600GT ones instead at £25 cheaper

The man from Seer Green he say YES :thumb2 :D simples

I got 9klm from my 13 pads. My new 15 has just 1760 Klm and I can gear grinding from the rear brake, lol.

Fitted some Brembo rear pads after being caught short with original pads down at metal at 5,500 miles; fooked the disc but bollox to that. Seem to grab OK so far. Let's see how they last.
