Alternative to the Wunderlich Easy Park

I've had a Wunderlich Easy Park for a little over two years now, and it's been.. ok. I've had a few near misses with the wheels getting caught on my rough garage floor, or a stray stone, and have pitched the GSA forward off its centre stand a couple of times. At only 5'8 and 80kg it can be an interesting experience keeping it upright. Well I've just had one of the casters on the Easy Park spit out all its ball-bearings, so it's now a very large, very expensive paperweight, and I'm back to duck-walk reversing the GSA either into or out of the garage.

So my question is, to those of you who use any such apparatus, what's a good alternative to the Wunderlich? Ideally something that will feel a little more stable, be a bit easier to manoeuvre and doesn't necessarily have to rely on the centre-stand. Is there such a product that goes under the wheels instead? Or perhaps a bike lift with wheels?

Thanks in advance.

Got one of these...Bursig bike lift

Which are distributed by Wunderlich in the UK

Got mine through Adventure Bike Shop via Wunderlich

As it was ordered with the adapter plate, Wunderlich had already fitted it to the stand and worked out of the box

Not cheap....there are cheaper ones but I this has the plate fixing adapter that don't cover the engine and can be used with crash bars fitted

The wheels are fine on flat surfaces.

My main use is for working on the bike and storage

The bike is rock solid on the stand

There are a lot of alternative stands like these out there but the adaptor plates and where they fit bike are different

I did have a 1Jac lift previously, also a great item but they didn't do the GS adaptor plates

Can’t you just get a new castor or replace all 4 wheels from Screwfix etc

Sorry for the delayed reply.. not receiving any emails from the forum, so didn't know I'd had responses until now.

This is my favourite option so far - looks exactly what I'm after. Thanks!

Of course - but that leaves me with a solution that's still only ok, and I'm not entirely happy with - I'm looking for something better and the wheel breaking has just pushed me to find it.

I think this is the Rolls Royce solution. I'm waiting for my lottery numbers to come up and will then buy...

Ah yes I found this one when I was searching around - definitely a great solution, but as you say, a little too pricey.

Just had an interesting reply from Adventure Bike Shop after emailing them as I couldn't see it on their site...!

Sorry, we had so many issues with them that we have decided we don’t want to sell them anymore.

Issues were with supply and stability.

Regards

Carl

Supply was that it took an age to come from Germany and 1st one had taken a tumble from a height. Was rejected due to damage and a replacement was sent

Not sure what the stability issue might be...used it for 18 months and never worried about it falling off or over

Design is exactly same as the 1Jac which I had since 2012 and was used on a fireblade and 2 S1000XR's....this was also solid with the bikes raised

Adventure bike shop never had it on the site but they were a Wunderlich dealer. Wunderlich seem to have the sole rights from Bursig

Yeah Carl kindly pointed me towards Nippy Normans if I want the Bursig, as they're also a Wunderlich dealer.

Glad I ordered mine from UK dealer rather than direct with Wunderlich due to the damage in transit issue

I believe Motor Works can get Wunderlich stuff

The wheels are extra just so you know

Motea Constands do these stands but I can't say what they are like, but they are a lot cheaper and include the castors

Also Warrior do a spider stand like these, Demon tweeks retail them. I did buy one from them before the Bursig, but the adaptor plate is different using one of the forward of the cylinder mount holes. These cannot be used with the crash bars. I only live 8 miles from Demons so was able to collect it, size it up, then take it back for a full refund

The Bursig was the only one that didn't

I got rid of the crash bars and got the Machine Art covers afterwards....doh
