Altrider crash bars

Can't say i'm too impressed with the spec BM crash bars, zero protection for the cylinders, i am seriously considering in getting the Altrider bars, anyone have them / any comments?

Mine has Touratech head protection that worked fine with the std crash bars when my engine stalled & threw me off in Birmingham rush hour.

I would like some disposable shields to chuck away after a minor tumble.

i have same bike jake, trust me they work, dropped mine in a dip in the road outside my drive bike lay on the bars not the cylinders
