Just bought some shiny new Hepco & Becker panniers for my 1150GS - 45litre right side and 38 litre left.
Only thing is when I get them out of the box the 38 litre looks tiny, and I wonder if two equal size 45 litre would be a more practical solution for the kit I want to carry.
Looking at the rack, the left side dosen't seem to cantilever out much more than the right (still got the standard exhaust and don't really want to change it), so just wondered if anyone else uses two equal size panniers without changing the exhaust ?
Obviously would have to be a bit more careful about maintaining a balanced load., but is it really a big deal? Would be glad to hear from anyone who has fitted these.:)

hmmmm, not so sure, though the only difference was the exhaust cut out.

my alu panniers seem to be the same size apart from that. surely thats around 1ltr reduction only.

where did you find out how many litres?
